frontally European best touring car drivers from 8 different countries are expected this week end for the 10th edition of the GP3F held in Longwy, France. With a 150 racers entry list fully booked only 2 days after registration’s opening, all MRC Longwy staff is focused to do their best to get this year’s race the best edition ever.

The race will start on Saturday in Salle Bassompierre of Longwy. There will be a live coverage on MRC’s website : www.mrc-longwy.fr, and complete live results on : www.myrcm.ch. On Sunday, there will be a traditional raffle with many prize to won, thanks our partners : Tonisport, Yokomo, Lrp, Select Models, VBC Racing and many other.

 

In modified class, defending champion Ronald Volker will be there to retain his title. The Yokomo driver is going to be, this year again, the man to beat. Against him, German aces Yannick Prumper, winner of MRC Winter Series Rnd 2, and Marc Fischer, winner of Rnd 3, will try to stop the European Champion series of 3 victories in a row at GP3F. The first show some very strong pace last month against 3 time world champion Marc Rheinard. The second has done some intensive pre events testing during Winter Series Rnd 3 and will be a strong contender for a podium finish.

Among the 40 registered drivers for this class we can also state : Yokomo’s Eric Dankel, Germany’s Tim Wahl and Julian Borowski. First Autrichian driver to attend a MRC race, Dominic Vogl will be alongside team mate Freddy Suddhoff who will target a podium finish for his Awesomatix A700L evo.

MRC will line up its best drivers to face European elite : Modified class French Champion Loic Jasmin (Yokomo), Lucas Urbain (VBC Racing) and French Stock champion Nico Schwendimann.

 

With a record entry of 110 drivers, there will also be a strong challenge in the 10.5 blinky stock class.

After some thrilling mains last year, Hot Bodies’s Steffen Leinburger got his first GP3F champion title, he will be this year again one of the favorite in this class. Alongside, former GP3F winners from Luxembourg Joe Streff and Tom Maquel will do their best to be back on top of the podium. Showing some very strong pace during the 3 round of MRC Winter Series, Tom Maquel prove that his Team C TC10 has never been that close from its first international victory.

A regular driver of MRC races, Germany’s Jan Bickendorf with his Orca powered Yokomo, may be also a strong contender. For his first venue in France, his countryman Max Machler has impressed the paddock driving a Much More ETS Pro stock combo powered Awesomatix A700 to an easy victory in 13.5 Blinky class will be a challenger for the A main final. MRC young guns Valentin Lehmann and Nico Lemoine, the two former finalists of  GP3F, will also be strong runner up.
